Canal Ghost Walk and Spooky Treats

6-8pm, 31 October
The Canal and River Trust are inviting locals to help brighten and clean up the canal around Little Venice, by blitzing the towpath and clearing floating litter. Volunteers will be rewarded at the end of their labours with a spooky ghost walk and Halloween treats.

Our favourite bear is coming to the silver screen in the UK on 28 November. To mark his cinematic debut there will be a Paddington Trail across London during November and December 2014, with 50 statues of Paddington Bear decorated by artists and celebrities.

Fan Bridge Revealed at Merchant Square

​Paddington’s newest landmark, the Fan Bridge, is unveiled at Merchant Square. Designed by bridge specialists Knight Architects, the three-metre-wide cantilevered moving structure spans 20 metres across the head of the Basin, rising by means of hydraulic jacks - an action similar to that of a traditional Japanese hand fan.
