Celebrate the Festive Season in Paddington
1. Winter Wonderland at Pergola Paddington
The holidays are coming to Pergola Paddington! Head over to the Miracle on Kingdom Street to experience the outdoor secret snow forest and alpine winter hall where you can cosy up in front of log fires. Book one of eight cosy winter lodges (perfect for social distancing) where you can warm up on cheese fondue and winter cocktails, while snuggling up under blankets. 2. A Puppet Show On A Barge
The Puppet Barge in Little Venice will be doing live performances of The Crow’s Tale from 5 December - 30 January. It’s about a crow with rainbow-coloured feathers that flies to the sun to save the world from an endless winter. How very apt! Book here.
3. Warm and Cosy Paddington Pubs
- The Hyde Bar for an amazing selection of warming whiskies.
- The Cleveland Arms for cosy fire nook and amazing roasts.
- The Monkey Puzzle for its spacious outdoor space.
- Heist Bank for pizza and pool table (must wear a mask).
- The Pride of Paddington for super relaxed and festive atmosphere.
- The Fountains Abbey for its beautiful wrap around bar.
- Brew Dog for its shuffleboard game and pinball machine.
4. Carol Singing Outside St. James Church
If ever there was a time for the community to come together and sing, Christmas 2020 would be it. Join St. James Church on Sussex Gardens, there are rumours of a brass band. Keep an eye on their website for the latest updates.
5. Fire up the Festivities with a Local Curry
- The Heron for some authentic Thai heat. Make it extra special and order the steamed seabass.
- Satay House for the traditional lamb curry with potatoes, the stir fried morning glory and do not forget to order the roti.
- Ramp up the heat with some classic Indian dishes from Bombay Palace, Flavours of India, Ryath Indian or Golden Shalimar.

6. Walk down the Canal
Take a winter wander down the canal to Little Venice or keep the kids entertained and hunting for Paddington bears as part of The Paw Print Trail.
7. Alfresco Food and Christmas Lights
Wrap up warm and enjoy a festive alfresco meal at Smiths Bar and Grill, Kupp, Brew Dog or The Waterway and grab a mulled wine to go before walking through the Merchant Square twinkling Christmas lights. Share all your best pictures using the #MSQChristmas2020
8. Christmas Shopping in Connaught Village
What better way to get in the festive mood than buying goodies for your loved ones. If its cheese from Buchannan's, a new toy for your pet poodle or super stylish clothes or kitchenware. Connaught Village is a must do.
Whilst you are there check out British artists Rob and Nick Carter showcase two neon installations. Their iconic interactive piece "Wavelength" is displayed at 1 & 3 Porchester Place while a brand-new bespoke piece for Connaught village, "Love Connaught Village" is on show at neighbouring 12 Connaught Street. Both neon artworks are on display now until the end of January.
