A Boatload of Laughter in Little Venice - Open Mic Night

Grand Union BID’s first-ever Comedy Open Mic Night brought our BID companies together for a free evening of laughter and connection at the wonderfully charming Canal Café Theatre in Little Venice.

The evening was a chance for colleagues from across the BID to come together, enjoy some live comedy and support those stepping into the spotlight. With a mix of local comedy talent and first-time performers from our BID companies, there was plenty to celebrate both on and off the stage.

With MC Rhian, local pros Ruby and Noah, open mic participant from Novotel Paddington and a spontaneous volunteer from Equinor taking to the stage - this was an amazing evening of comedy and laughter.

A huge thank you to all our acts – especially the BID company participants who tried stand-up for the very first time. Taking to the microphone in front of an audience is no small feat, and we were delighted to see them give it a go and share their talent with the room.

A huge thank you to all our acts - especially the BID company participants who tried stand-up for the very first time and blew us away with their talent.

Thank you to everyone who came along to support, share a laugh and enjoy a few drinks from the pub downstairs. And to Canal Café Theatre for hosting us in the perfect setting for an evening of comedy and connection.
