Sip, Sail and Sketch
On Wednesady 10 June, we are inviting employees from our BID members to join us for a free, tranquil, early evening excusion on board The Electric Barge.
The 90-minute trip will offer an opportunity to experience Paddington from the water, network with employees from neighbouring businesses, learn about local industrial history on the canal and, inspired by the picturesque location, explore your creativity through a watercolour workshop.

Let’s talk about grief - Bereavement panel discussion
We held our first wellbeing event on 12 Febraury 2026, with 25 employees representing 16 Paddington companies joining us for a thought-provoking panel discussion on bereavemenet and its impact in the workplace.
Our panel, drawn from BID members and the local community, shared personal experiences, best practice approaches and unique case studies - including lessons learned when supporting families through the loss of colleagues in disasters and work-related accidents. Colleagues from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust Bereavement Team were also on hand to speak to people on a one-to-one basis.
You can read more about the event and access recommended resources from our panel members here.
Suggested topics for future workshops and discussions include managing anxiety within the workplace, work life balance, redundancy and retirement, gambling and addiction.

Themed Networks
With so many Paddington companies being international; staff frequently travel for work and are often based across multiple sites. Coupled with post pandemic practices of remote working, there is a real demand to support Paddington’s next generation of professionals, providing opportunities to network and advance their careers. The BID will launch networks and deliver events which help to create a strong business ecosystem across Paddington, promoting growth and fostering engagement between companies.
The BID produces a monthly newsletter, highlighting volunteering opportunities, offers, news and events.
ESG Network - Monday 15 June 2026
Following our successful ESG Network event in October 2025, hosted by North Paddington Foodbank, we will be holding our second community deep-dive in June to align with Learning Disability week. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit a charity and special school in North Paddington. Both support people with learning disabiltiies and to discussion will be focused on opportunities for supported work experience and employment. This event is free and open to all our BID members.
Event details and a sign up link can be found here.
Themed discovery walks will be piloted in our second year, to test the appetite for exploring all that Paddington has to offer, hidden gems and the wider area. We will also trial leisure and competitive socialising initiatives to bring people and companies together.
Sports and Social Network
Through our ongoing conversations with BID members, we’ve heard a strong appetite for more opportunities to connect through sports clubs and forms of competitive socialising within the BID area. In response, we’re bringing together a Sports and Social Network made up of interested BID members, with the aim of creating regular opportunities for colleagues from different organisations to get to know one another while staying active and having fun.
We will be hosting an initial exploratory meeting in summer 2026, where we can bring together interested businesses to share ideas, understand priorities, and scope out what types of activities or formats would be most valuable.

We welcome input and ideas from BID members to help continue to shape the wellbeing series and networks. Please get in touch.
