Budding Engineers boosted by Science Club
For 18 pupils from Hallfield Primary School Friday afternoons have been transformed by a group of volunteers from Network Rail, Crossrail and Costain Skanska Joint Venture, with the creation of a Science Club through Paddington Partnership's corporate community involvement programme.

Budding engineers and scientists are joined by specialists working on the Crossrail project in Paddington to put their science lessons into practice. From experiments using different materials to making miniature volcanoes, pupils have been able to try their hands at engineering whilst learning from the experts.

The lucky pupils also made two site visits, to the Crossrail site at Paddington and to Network Rail's Control Room at Paddington station, pictured below.

The next generation of Science Club whizzes start with the new school term in September.
