Proposals for former Imperial College Medical School
Cohort Ltd is bringing forward plans to transform the former Imperial College Medical School site on Praed Street, adjacent to St Mary’s Hospital, into a new clinical life sciences building.
With the current medical school vacant since moving to more modern facilities in White City, there is an opportunity to apply a new purpose to the site, and support the development of a world-class clinical life sciences hub at Paddington.
The proposed new building will create a centre for translational research on the principle of 'bench to bedside', and will include accommodation for clinical trials.
At ground level, new active frontages will allow enhanced public realm, and safer, greener walking routes between South Wharf Road and Praed Street.
