A Summer of Paddleboarding in Paddington

Laughs, teamwork, and a cleaner canal – this summer we once again teamed up with Paddleboarding London for two activities which got employees from BID companies out of the office and onto the water.

In July, a team braved the heat and sun and headed out onto the canal on paddleboards. Armed with litter pickers, they made their way down the water, cleaning up litter as they paddled along. With some impressive boat dodging and everyone staying mostly dry, this was a fun, rewarding and memorable way to make a positive impact during the workday – helping to protect local wildlife and improve the local Paddington area.

In August, we held our second session - and this one was a little different. With no litter pickers this time, the afternoon was all about communication, teamwork, confidence-building and enjoying time together on the canal. Our keen paddlers were guided along the water, quickly getting to grips with balancing on their boards - even if only for a short while at first! The group then took part in a series of team challenges that put their communication skills, coordination and balance to the test.
