Grand Union BID's Sports and Social Network Launch
Grand Union BID have now held our first meeting of the new Sports and Social Network, which aims to bring BID members together to discuss opportunities for events, activities, networking and wellbeing across the area.

Thank you to the company representatives who joined this initial session and for the ease with which you all spoke and contributed, even when we had to make the move into the Amphitheatre in Paddington Central. In total, thirteen attendees from seven BID companies took part, with discussions generating a wide range of ideas for future activities, networking opportunities and wellbeing events within the BID area and the wider Paddington community.
The discussion began by looking at how events and opportunities are currently shared with BID members, and how communication could be strengthened to reach more colleagues within each BID company. This led to an energetic conversation about the upcoming Padel Tournaments, as well as the potential for further padel opportunities in the future. Attendees also showed strong enthusiasm for a range of possible events and activities, including an Open Mic night and a multi-company Sports Day.

The Network offers BID companies a valuable opportunity to share the sports and social activities they would like to see more of from Grand Union BID, seek support for activities they are already running, and connect with neighbouring organisations involved in similar initiatives. If you would like to represent your company in the Sports and Social Network, please get in touch. Our next meeting will take place in November.
