Two new SUP socials for Summer 2026
Following our popular paddle and pick in Earth Month and successful stand up paddleboarding (SUP) socials in July and September 2025; we’re once again partnering with Paddleboarding London for two unique events this summer.
Both are free, open to all Grand Union BID members and promise plenty of fun.

Plastic-Free July - Thursday 9 July, 12noon - 1.30pm
We’ll be supporting Plastic Free July – a global movement to reduce plastic consumption and waste - and inviting BID members to help remove plastic from the canal here in Paddington.
We have space for 14 colleagues to join us on Thursday 9 July from 12noon – 1:30pm.
Our litter heroes will be equipped with litter pickers, collection buckets and buoyancy aids whilst out on the water and accompanied throughout by Paddleboarding London instructors. You do not need to have any past experience of paddleboarding to take part.
Ultimate team building - Thursday 6 August, 3pm - 4.30pm
Grab your colleagues and spend a fun-filled hour on the water. Take part in SUP races, challenge your communication (and balance) by pairing up to swap boards and; for the ultimate photo op, form a train tip-to-tail and paddle in a circle. We like to think of it as synchronised SUP!
We hope this afternoon on the water will offer total escapism and all the wellbeing benefits that fresh air, screen-free time and socialising can bring.
This activity will take place from 3pm – 4:30pm, to include time for a session briefing beforehand. There are a total of 14 spaces available at this event.
If you have questions about either activity, please don't hesitate to get in touch and we'll do our best to help.
